Dave and I got married at the Newport Beach Temple, July 25, 2008. Although the New Port Beach Temple was my third choice, it ended up working out for the best. We got married on Friday and had our reception on Saturday. That worked out perfect for us. It made it a lot less stressful and kept the party going longer:) My whole family came out for the wedding—which was way nice of all of them. It wouldn't have been the same without everyone there! I just wish I could have hung out with everyone more!

The only regret I had was that I didn't do a garter toss or bouquet toss. I don't know what happened but I guess we just lost track of time. The other thing about having the reception on the second day was that I didn't care as much about the details or if anything went wrong. Maybe it was because we were already married, but I was a lot more chill and relaxed during the reception—which was nice.
My favorite part of the reception was the dance! Dave and I love to dance so we wanted to have that at our reception. The only bummer was that it was only my family dancing! I think the rest of the people took off once they heard there was a dance. But I didn't care by then and had a blast dancing with Dave and my family.

I also liked the tributes our fathers gave and Dave's tribute. At first I was a little nervous about what he'd say! But he made me proud and I thought it was perfect! He has the biggest heart. He left for Arizona yesterday and will be gone until Friday. I had to work on Saturday before I took him to the airport. When I got home the house was spotless (and it was a total wreck before!) He cleaned it for me all morning because he said he wanted it to be nice and clean for me while he was away. So I consider myself a lucky girl to have married him!
