My Birthday. Thai restaurant — our new favorite.
This other one is at a good Mexican restaurant for New Year's Eve. As you can see, there's not much to do here in Dallas besides go to delicious restaurants! Afterwards we went to the American Airlines Center, where the Mavericks play and there was a concert and a ton of people. It was different not being with all my family. It was the first Christmas and New Years without everyone. It was fun though. The fact that I had to work the next day ruined a little bit of the fun, but I guess I have to grow up some time :)
Christmas was a blast. We went to Sugar City, Idaho to visit Dave's family. It was cold and packed with snow! But I didn't mind it because this time I didnt' have to walk to class in it and I could sit on the couch and read Twilight all day :) Dave, Garrett, and Eric had fun playing in the snow outside. They built a snow cave. I didn't go in it (because I was so stuck in my book) but I hear it was actually warm in there.
Christmas morning was great. As you can see Dave was excited about his new toy :)
Since everyone was at Dave's parent's house ( all the kids) Dave and I stayed at a hotel close by. It was really nice and we loved it. At first we thought we'd be fine sleeping on the couch, but it was nice to sleep in a bed. The only funny thing about the hotel was they had very short ceilings in the showers — as you can see.
I thought I'd save the best for last. We dressed up Christmas Eve to act out the Nativity Scene. They went all out! I was impressed. They had all these clothes and robes. Although, I was fortunate enough to not get into any of the photos. But here is an idea of what everyone looked like. This is Garrett, George, and Dave's Dad singing a song. They were good sports. It was a pretty eventful evening.
