I woke up this morning to the delicious smell of this:
Homemade Blueberry Muffins. Keep in mind, I have 9:00 church, so this was around 8:00 am. Dave even took the time to make the cinnamon sprinkles addition, which was the real killer.
Then after church I was basically served this:
Ham Fried Rice. Another delicious homemade meal by Domestic Dave.
Then the evening looked like this:
Confetti Cake. I know, I know, Dave must be slacking because this one is from a box :)
Oh no, it's not my birthday, in case you were wondering. And here's his infamous homemade Carmel popcorn from the other night that my family always requests from him when they come to visit.
I had no idea I was marrying someone so domestic and helpful when I got married. These past few months since I've been so sick he's been so nice not to complain coming home from work to dirty dishes and empty cupboards. He'd wake up early on Saturdays and I'd hear him cleaning and vacuuming the apartment and get some grocery shopping done since the sight of food grossed me out.
I'm actually a functioning human being now, thank goodness for medication, but he's still always so helpful I always feel like I need to pick up the slack! This makes me laugh so hard because when Dave and I first started dating I actually broke up with him because he had such a kick back style and attitude I basically categorized him as a "slacker" and said I didn't want to be one of those wives carrying all the weight. I guess he should have been more worried about that than me :)
So this is a shout out to Dave for being such a helpful, fun, loving husband.

I never knew Dave could cook! Josef was the same when I was sick with Sofia. He did all the cooking, cleaning, and shopping for pretty much the entire pregnancy. I"m so glad you're feeling better!!
What a guy.
You reminded me that on Saturday I never finished hearing you and Dave's story. I got right to the point where you'd broken up with him when we got interrupted and I never got to hear the end!
Glad you're feeling better!
